2017 | Eastgiving Dinner

Planned and hosted a long table dinner with Werklab, Kokomo, Tight Club Athletics, and Virtuous Pie.

As a group of community-oriented Strathcona businesses, we decided to take the principles of the holiday and elevate its purpose with giving back to the neighbourhood that is the fertilizer to our roots and growth. We believe in the idea that although one person’s individual actions can be powerful, having the support and working together with others can facilitate greater impact and can drive noticeable change.

The evening was a ticketed catered dinner provided by Kokomo and Virtuous Pie, with proceeds and product donations going to UNYA and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Shelter. there were 35 guests that attended and participated in the heartfelt, action-driven conversation.

2017 | Wu Wei 2.0 with Werklab and lululemon

The second Wu Wei event with Werklab x lululemon. The intention behind the event was to share tools and resources that can be taken into our everyday, to help us tap into our energy and awaken our potential. We invited 40 of Vancouver’s entrepreneurs from our health and wellness community to join.

The event took place at sunrise with the goal of starting our morning, awakening together, and instilling a new energy into the rest of the day.

Katie Mackenzie led us through “The Block” – an in integration of QiGong and Pilates practice, to wake our up bodies.

Bree Melanson provided us with tools and led us through a breath work session to support us in driving ego-less, productive businesses, powered by our souls.

2017 | Kit and Ace x The Big Quiet at One World Observatory NYC

Concepted, planned and executed a second mass meditation with The Big Quiet community in NYC (March 2017), in an effort to share the benefit of meditation and pressing pause. A way to come together and powerfully leave our past, present, and future concerns in the clouds. I also managed the creative identity and content strategy behind the experience with our teams, alongside the relationship with our production partner in NYC, The Big Quiet team, and the Port Authority.

1100 individuals in NCY joined us for a mass meditation in the OWO taking over all three levels of the observatory tower. The event featured sound baths and musical performances that were simultaneously linked across the three levels.

In an effort to extend the reach and engage our global audience, we also coordinated and hosted live streams in seven Kit and Ace showrooms across the world, powered by our Facebook channel and our media partners VICE and NOWTHIS.

Custom meditation pillows and tote bags were created for everyone, as a gift to take away with them and remind them of this connective experience together.
